Anime recommendations for veterans or beginners

 This page will mostly be mini reviews/recommendations for various anime, for new comers or veterans.

TOKYO REVENGERS (Action,drama)

Tokyo Revengers follows Hanagaki Takemichi, a 26 year old man who works a deadend job, lives in a messy, cheap apartment and has only ever had one girlfriend who he dated in middle school. After hearing about the death of his ex caused by gang violence, Takemichi is then almost hit by a train and is sent back 12 years to his middle school days where he vows to save his girlfriend by joining the very gang that killed her.

This is honestly one of if not my favorite anime from this year because of all the excellent writing by the series' author who in fact was a gang member himself (a gee as the kids say), with a ton of plot twists, action, great art and heartfelt moments it's a must see for any new comers to anime or any die hard fans.

The animation does get pretty bad sometimes but like...we move innit?

HAVEN'T YOU HEARD? I AM SAKAMOTO.(Comedy, slice of life)

This is a pretty old one that I watched back in highschool. It follows Sakamoto a cool, calm and collected intellectual highschool student as he goes through his day to day life dealing with bizarre problems in the most stylish ways possible.

 It's honestly hilarious and like very calm in a way, I really like it and because of the time at which I watched it, it feels nostalgic for me.

The animation to be kinda stiff sometimes but so is Beyonce's acting and y'all like that soooooo...

8/10 [Great]

VINLAND SAGA(Action, Adventure, Historical)

It's an anime about Vikings...that's pretty much it. Vinland Saga is about a young warrior named Thorfinn on the quest for revenge against a pirate/Viking named Askladd. That's pretty much the plot of season 1.

I can't say much about this one without spoiling it but it has a very politically charged plot and a lot of themes of religion, slavery and the meaning of life. It's a really great anime, the protagonist can get a little annoying but his slow development is really rewarding. The side characters steal the show for me, especially Askladd.

The animation is really great too. It's animated by Wit Studios, the studio behind Attack on Titan's first 3 seasons.
